01 Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pohl’s Panelbeaters website (pohls.co.za) and the services provided by Pohl’s Panelbeaters (Pty) Ltd (“Pohl’s Panelbeaters”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
02 Definitions
- Services: panel beating, structural repair, spray painting and related automotive services we provide.
- You / Customer: the person or entity requesting a quotation or services.
- Vehicle: the vehicle submitted to us for quotation or repair.
03 Use of This Website
The content on this website is provided for general information only and may be updated at any time. While we take care to ensure information is accurate, we make no warranty that it is complete or error-free. You may not use the website unlawfully or in any way that could damage or impair it.
04 Quotations & Estimates
Quotations are based on the information and inspection available at the time and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Additional damage or work discovered once repairs begin may affect the final price; we will seek your approval (or your insurer’s) before carrying out any additional work.
05 Bookings & Authorisation of Repairs
By booking a vehicle in with us, you authorise us to carry out the agreed repairs. Where an insurer is involved, work will generally proceed once the claim and repair have been authorised by the insurer.
06 Insurance Work
We are a preferred service provider for several insurers and can assist with your claim. You remain responsible for any excess, betterment or amounts not covered by your insurer. Authorisation of a claim is at the sole discretion of your insurer.
07 Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment (including any excess) is due on collection of the vehicle. We reserve the right to retain the vehicle until all amounts due have been paid in full.
08 Warranty
We take pride in our workmanship. We provide a lifetime warranty on paintwork on painted panels and a 36-month warranty on labour, subject to fair wear and tear and reasonable care of the vehicle. The warranty does not cover damage caused by subsequent accidents, misuse, neglect or third-party work. Full warranty terms are available on request.
09 Vehicle Collection, Risk & Storage
Please collect your vehicle promptly once you are notified that repairs are complete. Risk in the vehicle remains with you or your insurer, save to the extent that loss or damage is caused by our negligence while the vehicle is in our care.
10 Personal Belongings
Please remove all personal belongings and valuables from your vehicle before leaving it with us. We are not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, personal items left in the vehicle.
11 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
12 Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images and the Pohl’s Panelbeaters name and logo — is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied or used without our written permission.
13 Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our
Privacy Policy.
14 Consumer Rights (CPA)
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or other applicable law.
15 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
16 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the effective date shown above.
